As mobile becomes core to IGN's success, we're seeking a forward-thinking Engineering Director to drive our long term mobile strategy. You'll be a key member of the IGN Engineering Leadership team.
What does that mean exactly?
- You'll research, recommend and deploy new technologies to improve our fans' mobile experience in areas such as communities and tools ( http://www.ign.com/wikis)
- You'll anticipate major mobile technology changes while delivering a superior mobile experience to both our existing console gaming and growing social and mobile gaming audience.
- You'll deepen the skills and abilities of the engineering team to ensure delivery of high quality mobile products.
- You'll work closely with Product Management to balance the adoption and monetization on all mobile products.
- You'll seek out opportunities for improvement and act on them with a sense of urgency.
- You'll regularly save the day with your leadership, solid judgment and independent decision making skills
What will get you in the door?
- You've successfully lead Web Technology Engineering Teams for 5 + years, with a passion for being a hands on technical leader.
- You've got a CS Degree or equivalent related experience. MS is preferred
- Proven ability to master various front-end and back-end technologies.
- Experience managing and leading mobile strategy implementation..
- You've got a positive, problem solving attitude.
- You're a team-player with an outsized sense of fun.
- You've successfully managed multiple projects simultaneously
- You communicate clearly and effectively, especially with cross functional teams
